DANIELA DAR-CREUTZ  (USA/GERM)  [director, writer, producer]

Born and raised in Germany, Dar-Creutz received an MFA in Communication-Design from the University of Munich before immigrating to the USA in order to study at The Graduate Film Program at New York University. Daniela has directed "Nobel Voices," a documentary series on 33 Nobel-prize-winners and their lifetime achievements for the Smithsonian Institute, in Washington DC and “Generation Klima", a documentary promoting environmental consciousness for the Government of Bavaria exhibited at Museum ‘Mensch und Natur’, in Germany. Her short films, "Captivated" and "Conman," were awarded at numerous international film festivals. Dar-Creutz is renowned for her intimate human portraits and her sensitive and compassionate treatment of difficult subjects, both in narrative and non-fiction. Her recent feature-length documentary, "Arranged Happiness" has received the "Special Jury Award" at the Aljazeera International Film Festival, in Qatar,"Best Documentary" at the Madrid ImagineIndia Film Festival, in Spain, the "Director's Vision Award" at International Indian Film Festival, in Stuttgart, “Audience-Pick” CinemaNovo Film Festival, in Belgium, “Best Directing” Philadelphia Documentary & Fiction Film Festival, in USA and was nominated for the "Juliane Bartel Journalism Award" from the Government of Niedersachsen, in Germany (2011). Daniela currently works at her new documentary “Blissful Yearning - Evoking Time & Place” for the International Documentary Channel PressTV, and “The Legend Nuerburgring - in the steps of my grandfather” (a production in development, B/C/P Prods.).
